Zizicelo Sifumba was born 1990 in Sterkspruit, Eastern Cape, with her love for art being instilled in 1999 at Sterkspruit Christian School.  After completing Grade 12 at Lady Grey Arts Academy, she enrolled at the Central University of Technology in Bloemfontein for first year studies in Fine Art. 

At the same time, Sifumba was appointed as coordinator for visual arts in the product development program of the department of arts and culture, Joe Gqabi district, Eastern Cape.  In 2016 she completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Education, while continuing to use her art skills for community work through product development programs.

In 2018, Zizicelo completed her B-Tech studies in Fine Art, majoring in painting, art theory and research methodology.  She is currently enrolled for a Master’s degree in Fine Art whilst continuing to facilitate skills transference and development workshops in Peri-urban parts of the Eastern Cape.
